As the winters approach, it’s time for some cool, cozy nights, with coffee in the hands, favorite music on, and sitting in the warmth of the fireplace. During winters, we feel lazy to do the daily household chores, because our comfortable quilts, just doesn’t allow us to move out of our beds. So, the best way to get things done, is to get them done before time.
Before the cold increases, and it gets difficult to clean the places, let’s do them now. Fireplaces are undoubtedly one of the most beautiful places to sit nearby and therefore should be well maintained. Maintaining a fireplace can be difficult if the right process is not followed. So, if you have a fireplace at your house, and if you have been looking for an easy way to clean it, here’s one simple solution on how you can clean your natural stone fireplace and peacefully enjoy winters!
First, move away all the delicate furniture nearby the fireplace including the sofas, chairs, carpets, etc. Also, do not forget to ventilate your room by opening the doors and the windows. Now begin with wetting all the stones with water and keep pouring water until they stop absorbing water. This needs to be done because if you clean the stones when they are dry, it might soak the dirt in, while when it’s all wet, the liquid will remain on the surface.
Now apply the bathroom foaming cleaner and scrub quickly. Remove the dirt and do not allow the water, run down the stones. Rinse and let it dry. If the stones are still wet enough, you can use a stem machine to settle it down. Cleaning, scrubbing and steaming will remove most of the dirt and there would not be left any to worry about.
